Digital Insurrection FAQ Digital Components : Dish Network : Increasing UHF Remote Range Question: Is it possible to increase the range of my UHF remote? Answer: Some UHF receivers have adjustable UHF power levels. The factory default is set low so as to minimize interference with other Echostar receivers. To increase the gain, follow the instructions below: Go to SYSTEM INFO screen (one with receiver and card IDs). Menu, 6, 1, 3. Cover the IR emitters on the front of the remote (if equipped).
